We are excited to announce that EMPYREAN will participate as a panelist in the Cognitive Computing Continuum Panel titled “Connecting 40 Billion IoT Devices with 200ZB of Data in the Cloud” at the upcoming Digital Transformation Summit, scheduled to take place from June 24th to 28th, 2024, on Madeira Island, Portugal.
This panel session will bring together leading researchers and practitioners to discuss the dynamic connectivity of edge-cloud resources and the advancement of intelligence and automation within the edge-cloud continuum. The panel is supported by various European Commission-funded projects in the area of edge-cloud computing, including those from the CL4-2023-DATA-01-04 call.
The session will feature introductory presentations from key projects, followed by a panel discussion on thematic topics such as the dynamic discovery and connectivity of heterogeneous resources in the edge-cloud continuum, dynamic deployment of applications and services, and the orchestration of distributed resources.
EMPYREAN’s vision and contributions are well-aligned with the panel’s focus. We aim to develop novel technology solutions that enable trustworthy, cognitive, and AI-driven collaborative associations of IoT devices and edge resources for efficient data processing across the edge-cloud continuum.
