The 5th plenary meeting of the EMPYREAN project took place on 1–2 July 2025 in Ghent, Belgium, graciously hosted by our partners at EV ILVO.
All project partners were present, contributing to two days of highly productive and in-depth technical discussions. The consortium reviewed the initial release of the EMPYREAN platform, showcasing excellent progress across the board and laying the foundation for upcoming capabilities.
Key highlights of the meeting included:
Finalization and validation of the first integrated EMPYREAN release.
Live integration demos, highlighting early platform functionalities and cross-WP collaboration.
Deep technical sessions focused on Work Packages 3, 4, and 5, addressing system architecture, deployment, and intelligent orchestration.
This milestone marks a significant step forward in our journey to deliver an open, flexible, and intelligent edge-cloud platform for the next-generation IoT-edge-cloud continuum.
